Last Updated: September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WAMI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience while using our App.
This policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.
1. The Data Controller
For the purposes of the GDPR, WAMI (accessible via devsophia.com) is the Data Controller of your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. This is securely managed through our backend provider (Supabase).
- Profile Information: Any additional information you choose to provide in your profile (e.g., username, business details if using the Vendor Portal).
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: The core functionality of WAMI relies on location services to show your position on the map, track gig demand, and display nearby points of interest. We collect precise geolocation data from your device only when you grant us explicit permission.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, such as the features you use, the time and duration of your activities, and basic device information.
C. Information from Third Parties
- In-App Purchases: If you purchase a WAMI Business Network lifetime subscription, the transaction is processed securely by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card or financial information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (e.g., displaying the map and location-based features).
- To manage your account and authentication securely.
- To process your lifetime subscription and unlock premium features.
- To serve relevant advertisements (via Google AdMob) for free-tier users.
- To improve, personalize, and expand our services.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above depends on the personal data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it:
- Consent: You have given us clear consent to process your personal data for a specific purpose (e.g., location tracking).
- Contract: Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (e.g., providing the App's services or processing a subscription).
- Legitimate Interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the app) and is not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
5. Third-Party Services
We employ third-party companies to facilitate our App. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose:
- Supabase: Used for secure database hosting and user authentication.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads based on your consent.
- Apple: Used for processing App Store payments.
6. Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
7. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)
